No, not the start of the World Cup, but the release of the
U.S. Men’s National Team’s latest uniform that they’ll wear at the World Cup.
Designed by official partners Nike, this uniform is an all-white kit with red
lining at the end of the sleeves and the polo-type collar. The jersey features
a return to the regular U.S. Soccer crest and the jersey top features faint
grey horizontal hoops from the top to the bottom.

The new classic Nike Elite Match Fit socks are also white
with strategically cushioned zones to provide comfort and protection. Flex
grooves were added to the ankle and the top of the foot.
The shirt, shorts and socks all feature fabric made from
recycled plastic bottles – 100 percent recycled polyester in the shorts, 96
percent recycled polyester in the shirt and 78 percent in the socks.
The rest of the uniform features white shorts and white
socks, with a red stripe running down the side of the shorts.

fans who want to purchase it ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The redesigned Nike Pro baselayer shorts are white with a
red stripe on each side. The fit is slim and tailored to the body, with a cut
specifically designed to aid movement and comfort. The center back of the
shorts feature Nike’s signature laser vents to aid in cooling and moisture
management.
“The cut of the women’s kit fits well and is comfortable,”
said U.S. Women’s National Team forward Alex Morgan. “I don’t have to think
about the uniform and can focus on the game at hand.”
U.S. Soccer and Nike have unveiled a new Men’s USA 2014 Home Jerseys and
Women’s National Team home kit for 2014 World Cup Jerseys.
Combining top performance innovation and a classic and bold
design, the new jersey incorporates a classic white with gray horizontal
pinstripes across the body and sleeves. The jersey features a classic white
polo shirt collar with red trim. Inside the back of the neck is a blue pennant
tab with the 13 stars from the original American flag.
“It’s always an honor to wear the colors of your country,
and this summer we will be hard to miss in an all-white look,” said U.S. Men’s
National team captain Clint Dempsey. “We will be traveling all over Brazil, and
playing in a lot of different conditions, so the innovative Nike designs will
serve us well.”
On the back, the top features a specially designed font for
the USA names and numbers – a modern and angular style that is influenced by
other U.S. sports teams. The jersey numbers also include a small U.S. Soccer
